  • How do I order a wedding cake?
I have a simple step process which sets out how to order your wedding cake with me. Please get in touch in the first instance to enquire if your wedding date is available.
  • Do you offer consultations and cake tastings?
Wedding cake tasting boxes are posted out several times a year and include six of my most popular cake flavours. Please order your tasting box online choosing the most convenient delivery date. A design consultation will be arranged at a convenient time with you once you have secured your wedding date with me. At the consultation we will discuss your preferred design style, flavours and set up in detail to create your perfect wedding cake.
  • How much do your wedding cakes cost?
All wedding cakes are made bespoke to you meaning no two cakes are the same price. My wedding cake price guide can be seen here. I welcome couples to discuss their budget range for their cake at the enquiry stage so we can design the perfect cake for you.
  • Do you make gluten free and vegan wedding cakes?
I can cater for gluten free and offer a range of vegan cake flavours. Should you wish to cater for a small number of guests with these requirements I would encourage you to select a box of cupcakes or have one tier of your cake for this purpose.
  • What size wedding cake should I have?
You can either serve your wedding cake as a finger portion sample or as dessert. Finger portions are typically sized at 1”x 1” x 4” and I would recommend you cater for around 85% of your guests. Dessert portions are sized at 2” x 1” x 4” and I would recommend you cater for 100% of your guests. Any cake leftovers can be cut, wrapped and frozen to be enjoyed at a later date. Should you wish to have a tall cake with multiple tiers over and above the number you need to serve you can also opt for dummy tiers in your cake. This can also be discussed in detail at your design consultation.
  • Do you or does my florist supply flowers for the wedding cake?
Should you opt for beautiful fresh florals on your cake I recommend you order flowers for the cake from your florist keeping consistency across the wedding florals and cake florals. Cake flowers are typically left at the venue on the morning by the florist for me to then finish on the cake. As part of the wedding cake service I liaise with your florist about these arrangements.
  • Do you have a delivery service for wedding cakes?
I offer a delivery service for all wedding cakes which is calculated based on your distance of your venue from my location in Balcombe, West Sussex. Please enquiry about prices for delivery to your venue. Collection is also available from my premises for smaller cakes. There is a fixed set up fee from £30 for all wedding cake orders.
  • Do you have cake stands for hire?
I believe your cake should be presented beautifully on your cake table. As such an elegant cake stand can elevate your cake. Should your venue or suppliers not have a suitable cake stand for your use I have a selection of stunning cake stand for you to choose from. Cake stands are available for you to hire for the day for a £30 fee. Please contact me to receive a list of my cake stands. I am happy to advise which stand will compliment your cake. A deposit of £90 is requested per stand and will be returned to you in full once the cake stand has been returned and is in the same condition as you received it. I request these are returned within five days of your wedding day as may be required for other clients. I also have beautiful copper cake arch display for hire for £40 for the day. Please contact me to see images of this and the cake stands
  • How do I secure my date and pay for my wedding cake?
You can secure your date for a non-refundable or transferable booking fee of £150. The final balance for your cake is due 6 weeks before your wedding which you will receive a reminder about via email. All wedding cakes are invoiced and payment is made through BACs bank transfer. Quotations for cakes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue then subject to change in line with pricing and inflation.
  • What is your cancellation policy for wedding cakes?
Cancellations must be made in writing by post or email. As your cake booking and date is reserved for you all booking fees of £100 are non-refundable and non-transferable to an alternative date. Should you wish to cancel your order the following terms apply: For wedding cake orders cancelled more than 6 weeks in advance of your date only the booking fee is forfeited. For orders cancelled within 6 weeks, the full balance paid is forfeited. In the event that we are unable to supply your order on the agreed date due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, accident, injury, bereavement etc., we reserve the right to seek substitute companies to fulfil the order.
